Orienteering
Orienteering is strictly linked with nature which is an integral part of the sport.
The woods of Villa Pitiana and the forest of Vallombrosa (a very important naturalistic area) are ideal places to play the orienteering activity.
After a theory lesson, the practical part is carried out individually or in group under the guidance of expert professionals.
Competition is based on using compass and map, finding the way through the nature to the check points and marking the sequence of passages.
The winners are the ones able at finding quicker the way through the check-points – not necessarily the fastest ones.
This sport offers a real fun, natural environment and scenery for one’s personal growth.
Firms often organise orienteering courses for their building teams.
